FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK
Good morning, Summit family!
What a wonderful Sunday we had together! All of the Christmas
sweaters were so festive—thank you for leaning into the season
and bringing so much joy into the room. I know having our worship
service with the lights down low was something new for us, but I truly
believe it set the mood and made the atmosphere more genuine and
worshipful.
Our committee meeting went very well. Even though we are saddened
to see the Smokes move on, I am so thankful for the years of dedication,
love, and faithfulness they have poured into Summit. We will miss them
deeply. At the same time, I am confident that our new team will rise to the
challenge of carrying our financial responsibilities with integrity and grace.
Sunday evening was another rich time of teaching as we continued exploring
Paul’s life as a missionary. We looked at how he was called back to Jerusalem
for a council meeting to address a legal issue that threatened to divide the early
churches. It’s a strong reminder that unity and truth must always guide God’s people.
I also want to ask you to be in prayer for me.
